New and suspended ocean services

Emirates joins COSCO on MEX service; CSAV suspends ASIAM service.

Emirates Shipping Line has announced its ongoing participation in the MEX service with COSCO, which is due to start on 19th June. Emirates Shipping Line has acquired slots on this premier Asia – Middle East service. The port rotation for the MEX service is: Shanghai > Ningbo > Hong Kong > Shekou > Singapore > Jebel Ali > Dammam > Port Kelang > Singapore > Hong Kong > Shanghai. In light of prevailing negative market conditions on the transpacific trade, CSAV Group has decided to temporarily suspend its ASIAM service. The ASIAM service operates between the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, China and the US West Coast. The last sailing departed from Shanghai on June 11th and will depart from Long Beach on June 30th. CSAV will continue the INDUS service, which operates between the Far East, Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent.
