As of now the Austrian branch of the HHLA rail subsidiary Metrans (Danubia) has a modern company headquarters. A few days ago the company moved to an office in the thermally renovated, previous Eybl office tower in Krems/Danube. The location is within sight of the Danube port Mierka Donauhafen Krems, whose container terminal operator had been taken over by Metrans last autumn. Another renter in the BTZ office building is the individual enterprise Transporte Herbert Cudy.

Metrans (Danubia) has 11 employees at the location in Krems/Danube, working in the segments marketing, sales, service and container terminal. The company’s weekly block train rotations are linking the economic region of Lower Austria with the European seaports. Feeder connections are available from the hubs Prague (Czech Republic) and Dunajska Streda (Slovakia) to/from Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Koper and Rijeka. Peter Kiss, CEO Metrans (Danubia), is expecting a total volume of about 30,000 TEU at the container terminal Krems this year.
