New managing director for Toyota

Nick Duckworth has become managing director of Toyota Material Handling UK, taking over from Mike Matthias, who has retired.

For the past ten years Duckworth has been senior vice president for Toyota Material Handling Europe

Jon Buckley has joined Toyota as commercial director succeeding Tony Wallis, the previous incumbent, who has also retired. Buckley has previously held senior positions with both Linde and Crown.

Duckworth said: “The UK is an incredibly important market for Toyota both at a European and global level. It’s an exciting time to join the UK team as we see many opportunities for continued growth in our core forklift solutions business as well as for exploiting the full potential from developments in our automation offering and Toyota’s acquisition of Vanderlande.”
