New service line with Conceptum Sport Logistics

Conceptum Sport Logistics team for TV-broadcasting to attend to its first major sports event

Conceptum Sport Logistics headquartered in Frankfurt am Main is about to launch a new service these days. As international logistics partner of Olympic Committees and worldwide sports associations the company now offers also moving images through its own broadcasting team and hence advances to a full service provider in the sports segment.

"First we transported exclusively sports equipment, which made us trustworthy for a whole industry segment. Very quickly we recognised that we would be able to support the teams as a travel organiser as well. It was thus the next logical step to complete the service by an own broadcasting team and necessary technological equipment", Sebastian Stahl, Managing Director Conceptum, outlines the development.

The HD broadcast vans are provided to the customers together with technical staff. Karin Borth, a distinguished media expert, acts as ‚team captain‘. For more than 20 years she has been attending to sports events by moving images – including the Biathlon-WM 2009 inKorea, the Olympic winter games 2010 in Vancouver or the games of the Champions League and the German professional football league. The first major project to be served by the new broadcasting team was the European championship of the U19-soccer teams. Live images were transmitted to more than 20 countries; the final game took place inTallinnon 15 July.

Conceptum Sport Logistics offers customised transport solutions for sports equipment and other sensitive cargo, which makes it a specialist for cultural project logistics. The company has offices in Germany (Munich, Frankfurt and Hamburg) as well as sports-locations in Switzerland (Lausanne), Brazil, Canada and other countries – close to its client and venues. Their locations in more than 15 countries and more than 150 partners in international freight traffic cover all segments of ocean freight, air freight and transport logistics on the road.
