Kroop & Co. forwarding (Hamburg) puts accents on Austria

Hamburg-based forwarder for East and Southeastern Europe organises also shipments from and to Austria since recently

Shipments from and to Austria were lately added to the service range of the owner-managed forwarding company Kroop & Co. in Hamburg. Another news is the successful certification as AEO, as the management announces on the company’s own website.

The international Spedition Kroop & Co. was established on 1 January 1974 by Dietrich-Eckhard Niedermann and Hans-Werner Horstmann, who is still today the managing director of the enterprise. The initial target was to set up alternative solutions to usual railway traffic between Germany and former Yugoslavia. After the political change in 1989 activities were expanded gradually to all countries of the former Eastern Bloc.

Today Kroop & Co. organises regular truck transportations from and to all countries of Eastern and Southeastern Europe. The about 50 employees of the company are familiar with the different country-specific cultures, which is not last due to their language skills. “Also our longstanding relations that we maintain with trade, industry and authorities are a benefit for our customers, in terms of a quick exchange of information about transport handling in Eastern Europe“, the management emphasises. As for activities in the segments warehousing and throughput the company headquarters offer around 10,000 m² dedicated area.
