New special airfreight service by DHL Global Forwarding Austria
DHL Global Forwarding Austria to open a cross docking cold warehouse for pharmaceuticals at the Vienna International Airport on 28 March
DHL Global Forwarding Austria is adding a new special service to its product portfolio. Managing Director Ronald Friedreich announced the opening of a cold warehouse designed as a cross docking station when talking to the Austrian transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung. This building is the company’s response to the strongly rising demand of the pharmaceutical industry for air freight logistics chains under constant temperature. The cross docking facility is operated by Swissport Austria on behalf of DHL Global Forwarding Austria. It is divided into two modules, with each around 300 m² hall area. One wing covers the temperature range from 15 to 25 degree Celsius; the second from 2 to 8 degree Celsius. According to Ronald Friedreich the cold warehouse will soon achieve the GDP certificate.
