New TNT Innight site related to Austria and Slovakia
TNT Innight opens additional site in Regensburg creating further capacity for targeted growth
Overnight express specialist TNT Innight has started operating a new site in Regensburg. The building has a 7,073 m² hall with 19 loading bays and more than 300 m² office, sanitary and social area.
The new location is part of the company’s growth strategy, relieving the existing TNT-Innight branches in Munich and Nuremberg. In addition the future goods flow from the northwest of Germany to Austria and Slovakia will be mainly handled via Regensburg. Thus the overnight express service provider creates capacity for further volume growth.
The existing building in Burgweintingerstraße 30 in Regensburg has previously been used as a warehouse for order picking. To adjust it to the special requirements of TNT Innight, comprehensive rebuilding and modernisation measures have been implemented, including a belt conveyor that is 90 metres long and two metres wide in the hall. A newly installed wireless LAN network ensures fast and transparent exchange of data and information among the staff and drivers involved with the transhipment.
As a transport provider TNT Innight specialises in the delivery of goods and spare parts in Central, Eastern and Northwestern Europe until the next day, before the start of the work, to companies from the industries agriculture, automotive, engineering and construction, high tech, life science and materials handling. “Through our solutions we offer customers the fastest network-based delivery on the market and high delivery quality. NachtExpress combined the advantages of late order acceptance and delivery the next morning before 6, 7 or 8 am.“, reads a brochure. Delivery normally does not require the presence of the recipient.
