E-commerce logistician Dahms solutions starts operation in Austria

Former Amazon logistics manager reactivates former Quelle logistics centre in Linz; Dahms solutions AT GmbH provides full service for online retailers

Reactivating the former property of Quelle in Linz, Dahms solutions GmbH has entered the Austrian market as previously announced.  On March 21, the nationwide first pure e-commerce logistics centre has started operation.

The object includes a multi-storey racking storage providing about 41,000 storage shelves and a fully-automated high rack storage with 13,000 pallet slots, which requires some further technical adjustments before it can be put into operation. The infrastructure on a total area of 35,000 m² can handle a daily capacity of 50,000 orders.

“The very good multimodal connections site convinced us since the beginning. The building and the entire technical equipment are a perfect fit for dispatch logistics“, DI (FH) Oliver Dahms, managing director Dahms solutions, said at the inauguration ceremony.

Dahms solutions supplies online retailers in Linz with comprehensive logistics services. These include order acceptance and dispatch, as well as the entire returns management, reprocessing and remarketing of merchandises. Oliver Dahms named it “a highly complex chain of processes“ in front of the press. In full operation the e-commerce logistics centre in Linz will have more than 200 emplyoees.
