Newcomer VA Logistics starts with a bang
Taking over the Special Transport division from UPS Supply Chain Solutions Germany, the newly established company VA Logistic in Schwaig sets accents just at the beginning of their operative activity. The transaction affects around 450 persons at 12 locations. Managing Director Fil Filipov intends to increase the market share of the acquisition in Germany from 7 to 10 per cent within two years. The medium-term goal of the company is to expand to France and Central Europe. In this context the Management considers additional company acquisitions after having consolidated and successfully established the new organisation. VA Logistic, VAL in short, is a joint venture of the French Blondel Logistics Group (40 per cent), the Bulgarian Helios Metal Center (30 per cent) and the US financial group CoBe Capital (30 per cent).
