NHS Foundation snaps up warehouse for medical equipment store

Calderdale & Huddersfield Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, has secured a 25,000 sq ft industrial unit in Elland, West Yorkshire, for a medical equipment store and health informatics service.

The warehouse owned by Rosemount Estates has undergone a £750,000 refurbishment which was project managed by Mytholmroyd-based TD Jagger.

Tom Donaghey, property manager at Calderdale & Huddersfield Solutions, said: “The quality of the refurbishment and partnership approach adopted by Rosemount Estates surpassed our expectations and the move to these premises will allow us to better serve the local community across the Halifax and Huddersfield areas for the foreseeable future.”

Walker Singleton advised Rosemount Estates and has also started marketing an 11,000 sq ft new-build development at nearby, which will be available in mid-2021.

Ryan Barker, associate at Walker Singleton, added: “Despite the current turmoil, this development will provide a welcome addition of good-quality, modern industrial space on a well-established industrial estate within minutes of the M62 and we expect there to be a lot of interest from occupiers.”
