NHS Supply Chain appoints two new directors

NHS Supply Chain has hired Miranda Carter and Emily Lawson to join the Supply Chain Coordination Limited, (SCCL), Board.

Carter is currently Director of Provider Transformation at NHS England and NHS Improvement, and has recently taken responsibility for the provider transformation and provider policy teams within NHS England and Improvement.

On her appointment, Carter said: ”My previous experience and current role at NHS England and NHS Improvement will help to boost ideas and increase the buying power of the NHS to ensure more money is available for our frontline services.”

Lawson joined NHS England and NHS Improvement as National Director for Transformation and Corporate Operations in November 2017 and is responsible for a range of enabling corporate functions which support the effectiveness and efficiency of NHS England and NHS Improvement.

Lawson said: ”I look forward to working together to consolidate our procurement function which will help trusts save money to reinvest into patient care.”

Jim Spittle, Chair of SCCL said: ”With their extensive experience in transformation and development I am confident they will help drive the success of NHS Supply Chain.”
