Logwin sells its location in Kempten to Emons

Emons forwarding company takes over Logwin Logwin location in Kempten/Allgäu to consolidate their general cargo network in Germany

Emons forwarding is adding the Logwin location in Kempten to its global organisation. Emons will be taking over the location in Allgäu and more than 40 employees and vocational trainees with effect from October 1, 2013. This increases the number of general cargo locations for the Cologne-based family company to 22 in Germany and 78 worldwide.

Kempten will allow Emons to continue its strategy of establishing an independent general cargo network. "We are delighted at the acquisition of this location, which will represent an excellent addition to our network. Based on the close cooperation that has developed and our positive experience, we value the motivated employees in Kempten," as Herbert Putzmann, Emons spokesman, says of the acquisition.

Established in 1928 the Emons forwarding company offers reliable and flexible transport and logistics services. The medium-sized, group-independent family enterprise with locations in Germany, Bulgaria, China, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia,  Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Ukraine and Belrussia, ranks among the well-established companies in this industry in Germany. Their more than 1,700 employees and 250 vocational trainees handled about 3.2 million shipments and 435,000 parcels in 2012, thereby generating sales of EUR 365 million.
