Nippon Express acquires Italian logistics company Franco Vago

Franco Vago gives Nippon Express the support for strengthening their position as provider of high-end fashion and apparel-related logistics services
 
Nippon Express (Europe) GmbH has signed a share purchase agreement on January 25 to acquire all shares of Franco Vago S.p.A., ("Franco Vago"). Franco Vago is a major logistics company headquartered in Florence, Italy whose mainstay businesses are apparel-related forwarding and logistics for high-end fashion brands and other companies.
 
With business locations across Italy as well as in Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, China, the US and elsewhere around the world, Franco Vago has firmly established itself as a leader in apparel-related logistics. They have been established in Milano in October 1981; since the beginning the company is dedicated to the freight forwarding business by air, sea and land, logistics and distribution services all over the world.
 
Nippon Express is seeking with this acquisition to augment its own apparel logistics operations, and to accelerate the development of apparel-related logistics operations in growth markets such as emerging countries in Asia and other regions. The group with headquarters in Japan pledges continued efforts to accelerate its growth as a global logistics company and enhance its high-quality services to meet the diversifying needs of the customers.
