Noerpel: EUR 25 million for new freight forwarding facility in Munich

The Noerpel Group is building a modern freight forwarding facility in Odelzhausen, about 30 kilometers northwest of Munich. The new location of the transport and logistics provider is implemented in close cooperation with the real estate developer Panattoni Europe. Goldbeck Süd will assume the construction of the building.

Noerpel is expecting to invest around EUR 25 million in the entire construction project. At the end of 2019, Ascherl-Noerpel GmbH will relocate its haulage branch from the Munich city area to the new location.

The new freight forwarding facility of the Noerpel Group is being built on a plot of more than 44,000 m² in the municipality of Odelzhausen in the Upper Bavarian district of Dachau. Around 13,000 m² of modern hall and office space will be created. For efficient goods handling, the freight forwarding terminal will offer more than 100 loading gates and 9,800 m² of handling space.

The new forwarding facility between Augsburg and Munich is conveniently located near the A8 motorway. In addition to land transport, the approximately 230 employees, including more than 25 apprentices, also offer sea and airfreight handling as well as rail transport between Germany and China. Their customers include manufacturers and suppliers, for example from the automotive or consumer goods industries.
