OWL opens dedicated airfreight office near Heathrow
Pacer International subsidiary, Ocean World Lines (OWL), has opened a dedicated OWL Air UK office and warehouse near Heathrow Airport to support its expanding inbound and outbound air freight services between the Far East, US, Australia, Middle East and Europe. The new 10,0000 sq.ft office and warehouse, located ten minutes from Heathrow, offers full airfreight services, including cargo pick-up and consolidation, trucking, warehousing, cargo packing and crating, cargo insurance, cargo de-consolidation and distribution. The OWL Air UK staff is Department for Transport security certified and the facility is equipped with x-ray machinery for on-the-spot cargo scanning to expedite the shipping process. OWL’s new air service is supported by its OWL360 visibility platform, which provides customers with instant access to their shipping information and the ability to track, measure and compare the performance of all modes of transportation, including ocean, air, rail and road. Ocean World Lines is one of the largest fully bonded NVOCC’s in the world, maintaining more than 45 service contracts with the top ocean carriers.
