PakSense launches BIOmed labels for life sciences industry
PakSense has launched its new temperature-monitoring label product line for use in clinical trials, pharmaceuticals, biologics, vaccines and other healthcare-related material transport. The new labels digitally monitor a product’s environment during distribution or storage, enabling cold chain monitoring in virtually any packaging configuration, from pallets and cartons to individual items. Patented PakSense BIOmed Labels use a new type of temperature sensor that enables them to take a surface read of the object to which they are attached. This provides a closer approximation of actual product temperature, as opposed to the general ambient readings provided by bulkier recorders. The labels sample the temperature every minute for highly accurate temperature reads. The sensor is calibrated to NIST standards during manufacturing, and does not require ongoing calibration to maintain accuracy. All labels are manufactured in ISO-9001 registered facilities. The labels are encased in waterproof packaging, and can be recycled through the PakSense GreenSense recycling program. There are three digital label types included in the introduction:
All labels are shipped to customers with temperature parameters pre-programmed, so users simply activate the label and apply it to the product or packaging prior to shipping. Quelle: eyefortransport |
