Palletways expanding to Poland and the Baltics

Cooperation of Palletways and DPD in Germany: Use of the core competencies and a synergetic wider range of services for customers

Palletways, a brand network for pallet freight, is serving new markets in Europe. At the start of this week they added Poland and the Baltics to their offer. The expansion is carried out in cooperation with the DPD parcel service, informs the company in a press release.

Including the newly added countries the Palletways network now comprises a total of 18 European countries, with Austria among them. The group is thus expanding its position as a leading network provider in Europe for palletised express cargo.

Furthermore Palletways Deutschland GmbH and DPD have started cooperating in Germany from Aschaffenburg. Both companies aim to mutually utilize the core competencies of their partner and synergistically provide their customers a wider range of services.

The spine is formed by DPD MAX, a product newly developed and offered by DPD, which is primarily addressing DPD customers who in addition to their regular parcel volume also sporadically ship cargo that is too heavy or too bulky for parcel transport.

Shipping with DPD MAX is possible within Germany and to 17 other countries in Europe. The new product is implemented through cooperation with Palletways as leading network operator for palletized cargo in Europe.

Palletways was founded more than 20 years ago in Great Britain and registered annual revenues of more than GBP 200 million last year. 30,000 pallets are transshipped in Europe per day. For 2015 Palletways expects a volume growth of 50 per cent in the European network.
