Panalpina expands to Balkans
Panalpina Group added another station into the location network on the Balkans. On 1 February 2009 the Croatian affiliate will start operating. The globally acting transport and logistics group opens a seafreight office with 12 employees in Rijeka. The establishment of an airfreight office in Zagreb is scheduled for a later date. In Central and Eastern Europe Panalpina is represented with its locations in Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Slovenia and Serbia. The Regional Headquarter is located in Vienna. Rolf Hauer, Managing Director, is in charge of the total area and presides over a team of more than 500 employees (of which are 350 persons in Austria).
