PCC Intermodal is aiming to set up links with Austria and Hungary

In mid-February 2018 PCC Intermodal SA has put into operation two more, modern locomotives, this time the choice fell on Bombardier TRAXX type E186. The operator uses its own rail service in domestic corridors. The rail department of PCC Intermodal SA organises intermodal trains between PCCI terminals within the network.

Thanks to the development of its own traction fleet the company can respond to the market needs faster and more flexible, and is able to add new connections to the network. Currently the container operator ensures regular, daily intermodal services between the Polish Ports of Gdańsk (DCT), Gdynia (BCT, GCT) and Central Poland (Kutno, Poznań), the Lower Silesia Region (Brzeg Dolny), the Upper Silesia Region (Gliwice), and three times a week to South-East Poland (Kolbuszowa).

International corridors to/from Poland are being served as follows: Brest (BY), Antwerp (BE) – three times a week, Duisburg (DE) – four times a week, Hamburg, Frankfurt Oder (DE) – five times a week, Rotterdam (NL) – seven times a week. The company plans to enlarge the network in Baltic – Adriatic corridor soon, adding regular connections Austria and Hungary.

PCC Intermodal organises domestic and international transport of containers based on the regular rail connections between marine and inland terminals and door to door deliveries. The network of connections includes the marine terminals in Hamburg/Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Gdańsk, Gdynia and inland terminals in Kutno, Brzeg Dolny, Gliwice, Kolbuszowa, Frankfurt (Oder), Duisburg and Brest.
