Peter Szabados joins Panalpina Eastern Europe
In his function as Area Head of Logistics Peter Szabados shall boost Panalpina’s growth in Eastern Europe
Panalpina Eastern Europe has a prominent new member. Peter Szabados is to fill the position of the Area Head of Logistics from 1 April. The tasks of the former Wincanton manager range from the expansion of land transport and storage logistics to distribution. The new member has almost 20 years of experience in supply chain management for the industry as well as logistics service providers in Great Britain, Russia and since lately also in Eastern Europe.
Panalpina Eastern Europe operates currently logistics areas in Austria, the Czech Republic and Romania. The group has recently started operating a 12,500 m² facility in Istanbul. Having Peter Szabados abord they plan to quickly proceed with the expansion of infrastructure and logistics services in Austria and Eastern Europe. In the land transport segment the group intends to consolidate its network from/to Eastern Europe. Sales activities, with particular focus on health care, automotive, consumer goods and hi-tech shall support the growth strategy.
