Playmobil expands fleet with two new trailers by Kögel

Trailer manufacturer Kögel supplies toy producer with trailers for Christmas deliveries
 
In response to the big demand for toys at Christmas time and New Year, geobra Brandstätter GmbH & Co. KG expands their fleet. Including the two new units the producer of Playmobil toys has now a total of about 20 Kögel Box Trailers. The fourth-generation family enterprise based in Zirndorf near Nuremberg operates by its own account Germany’s biggest and most modern production, warehousing and shipping facility for toys.
 
The dry cargo box ‚Kögel Box’ is designed for sensitive goods, offering protection against environmental influences and theft. The superstructure of the box is made from 20 mm ‘Plywood’, a multilayer material with GRP covering both inside and outside.
 
Kögel was established in 1934 and counts among the three biggest producers of trailers in Europe. In addition to their headquarters and major production site in Burtenbach, Bavaria, Kögel Trailer GmbH & Co. KG operates plants and sites in Neu-Ulm and Duingen (Germany), Chocen (CZ), Moscow, St. Petersburg and Turkey. About 1,000 employees generated turnover of EUR 250 million in 2011.
 
The Brandstätter group has production sites in Germany, Malta, Spain and the Czech Republic. In 2011 their more than 3,520 employees worldwide generated a total revenue of EUR 564 million. The enterprise is deemed to be Germany’s biggest producer of toys and distributes the 7.5 cm Playmobil toy figures in more than 80 countries worldwide.
