Port of Vienna: Rudolf Mutz to leave the management board

Rudolf Mutz switches from the navigation bridge of the Wiener Hafen group to the management board of DDSG Blue Danube

A personnel change is to take place in the management board of DDSG Blue Danube, a company of the Wien Holding and Verkehrsbüro group. Rudolf Mutz will head the company as managing director together with the longstanding DDSG Blue Danube director Wolfgang Hanreich. The DDSG Blue Danube supervisory board has appointed Mutz as new managing director effective 1 March 2013. In this function he succeeds Helmut Richter, who will switch to the supervisory board of DDSG Blue Danube.

As the successor company of the former Donaudampfschifffahrtsgesellschaft, DDSG Blue Danube Schifffahrt GmbH is the operator of passenger shipping in Vienna. The company is equally held by the Verkehrsbüro group and Wien Holding. In his new function at DDSG Blue Danube, Austria’s biggest passenger shipping enterprise, Rudolf Mutz will first and foremost concentrate on Danube navigation and the development of passenger shipping.

Rudolf Mutz is looking back on many years with the Wien Holding. Having been in charge of establishing Vienna’s trade fair, he took over the position as technical director in the port of Vienna, where he has made a major contribution towards implementing an expansion program in the past four years.
