Porto Nogaro offers alternative from/to Austria
Regular vessel services from Porto Nogaro to destinations in Greece, Turkey, Israel and North Africa
Port Nogaro recommends itself to representatives of forwarders and the shipping industry in Austria as an alternative to the big seaports. “We welcome break bulk and small lots in the port“, says Roberto Mosca Riatel, General Manager Marlines s.r.l., in the interview with the Austrian transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung. He names the fast and punctual handling of vessels as another advantage of the port in northern Italy.
From Porto Nogaro regular services are available to destinations in Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Malta, Israel, Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and Algeria. The services are operated with vessels offering capacities between 3,000 and 5,000 freight tonnes. The annual cargo throughput in the north Italian port is – depending on the economic situation – between 1 and 1.25 million tonnes.
