Prangl Hungaria at the set of A Good Day to Die Hard

Work platforms and mobile cranes of Prangl Hungaria Kft. put Bruce Willis in perspective in his latest movie

Prangl Hungaria Kft. added a new highlight to its activities as partner of Hungary’s movie industry. The enterprise accompanied the shooting of part five of Die Hard featuring Bruce Willis in his famous role as policeman John McClane. More than 100 working platforms and 16 mobile cranes between 25 and 500 tonnes supported the set up of the scenes and the right positioning of the over-dimensional lighting elements in Budapest, where the film was shot.

The movie contains a scene that was shot before a 95 tonnes telescopic crane of Prangl, meaning  the Prangl logo has a prominent positioning in the movie. “No Austrian crane enterprise has ever managed something like that before, which makes it a particular honour and pleasure for us“, cheers Christian Prangl, managing director.

Part five with the title A Good Day to Die Hard has been in European theatres since 14 February 2013. John McClane (Bruce Willis) travels to Russia to help out his seemingly wayward son, Jack (Jai Courtney). The movie was shot in summer 2012 in Budapest among other places. Die Hard counts among Hollywood’s most famous movies. Parts one to four of the film series started in 1988 brought in about USD 1.2 billion.
