Second New York call with ZIM Container Services Atlantic
Revised ZIM Container Service Atlantic Rotation to offer best-in-market transit time from New York to East Med ports
ZIM Container Service Atlantic will add a second call in New York on the eastbound stretch, starting March 2013. ZCA’s weekly, fixed-day service will have the following rotation: Haifa, Piraeus, Genova, Tarragona, Halifax, New York, Savannah, Kingston, New York, Tarragona, Ashdod. “The revised ZCA rotation will offer best-in-market transit time from New York to East Med ports and most competitive transit time to major West-Med ports”, the global container shipping line announces
The new rotation improves transit times to both West and East Mediterranean. Via ZIM’s hub in Haifa and its extensive, synchronized feeder network, further connections to major East-Med destinations are available. The new rotation will provide much better service specifically for refrigerated cargo from NYC to Med destinations. Furthermore ZIM is also able to offer westbound connections to Central America, Caribbean and US West Coast destinations via Halifax and its Kingston hub.
