Qatar Airways Cargo launches dedicated route to Kuwait

Qatar Airways Cargo has expanded its dedicated freighter routes with new Airbus A300 freighter services to Kuwait.

The new dedicated freighter route to Kuwait City complements the existing freighter services in the Gulf to Riyadh, Dubai and Bahrain.

The cargo upgrade in the Gulf follows Qatar Airways‘ announcement that it will increase the frequency of its regional passenger operations in Saudi Arabia, with routes to Riyadh and Jeddah increasing from daily to twice a day and an additional daily flight to Dammam, effective June 1st.

The airline will also launch four flights per week to Medina on July 14th.

Last year, Qatar Airways launched its first North American cargo route with dedicated freighter operations to Chicago, and received two of its three Boeing 777 freighters on order.

Qatar Airways Cargo operations for the airline will move to New Doha International Airport when the US$14.5 billion facility becomes operational.

A few weeks ago, Qatar Airways strengthened its reach in India and Vietnam with the launch of dedicated cargo services to Bengaluru, Kozhikode and Hanoi.

Qatar Airways flies to 100 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North and South America. By 2013, the airline plans to add another twenty destinations around the world.
