Qatar Airways offers firts Dreamliner service at the Vienna Airport

Increased cargo capacity: Qatar Airways  to start daily Boeing 787 Dreamliner service from Vienna to Doha with worldwide connections

On 1 September Qatar Airways has introduced its Boeing 787 Dreamliner service in Vienna. The increasing demand in this region and the airline’s commitment to expand its position in the Austrian market resulted in the introduction of this highly modern jet on the Vienna-Doha route. This increases capacity by 92 per cent compared to the previously used A320.

Qatar Airways is the first airline to introduce regular Dreamliner flights to Vienna. “After ten years of successful operation in Vienna, we are pleased to introduce our flagship – the 787 Dreamliner“, says Günter Saurwein, Country Manager Germany and Austria.

With this, one of the most modern aircraft in the world is now flying on a regular basis to Vienna. This capacity expansion of Qatar Airways strengthens the role of the Vienna International Airport as a gateway to the Middle East region,” says Mag. Julian Jäger, Managing Director of Flughafen Wien AG.

Qatar Airways operates daily flights from Vienna via Doha to cities in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, North and South America. The airline has grown tremendously in the past 17 years and has a modern fleet of 135 aircraft, which is calling 144 destinations around the world.
