Quehenberger Express plan to double turnover by 2020

Quehenberger Logistics is able to offer professional solutions for time-sensitive small consignments as well as special deliveries for Fashion and Retail based on the support of its subsidiary Quehenberger Express – and it is a highly successful business. Last year the subsidiary achieved a double-digit growth and plans to double their turnover by 2020, said CEO Christian Fürstaller. At the same time, he emphasises on the strategic value of this Express offer of the subsidiary.

As Full Service Provider, Quehenberger Express represents an essential part of Quehenberger Logistics’ portfolio. Moreover, the market has a high potential. Due to growing online trading services, congested conurbations, and the increasing demand for customised deliveries – also and particularly in the B2C sector, logistics service providers are facing new challenges. “With Quehenberger Express we have the potential to offer most flexible solutions, and thus, we are one step ahead“, Fürstaller explains.

Apart from the own fleet consisting of about 100 small vans and branch offices in Austria, Hungary and Slovakia, Quehenberger relies on a team with many years of experience. In early July, Thomas Bauer, previously holding senior management positions with Trans-o-flex and TNT Innight, was appointed Managing Director. Sales Director Sabine Hennebichler, who has acquired extensive market knowledge with FedEx, DHL, and TNT, is joining forces and supporting him. “Thanks to combining experienced Quehenberger employees and external experts, we are able to pool high-quality business sector expertise. That is an essential factor in our commitment to quality“, Fürstaller says.

Quehenberger Express offers customised solutions for Express- and Overnight services for all business sectors focusing on Fashion and Retail, private customer delivery with value-added services, as well as individual special solutions such as the replacement of medical devices or direct deliveries all over the world. Among our customers are retail chains appreciating the flexibility and reliability in direct store deliveries, e-commerce companies value B2C-delivery, and the Health Care Sector appreciates the fastest supply of sensitive medical equipment.

Based on the comprehensive offer in retail deliveries – garments on hangers, cardboard and returnable boxes, roller containers, and pallets – bookable in individual combinations and deliveries based on one common route, the fashion retail business today represents an important customer segment. The whole process is also used to deliver goods from one store to another, or to pick up returns or empty boxes. In this context, Quehenberger serves all sales channels of the fashion industry: shop-in-shop solutions in wholesale business, deliveries to retail stores, or “click and collect“ in e-commere.

However, Quehenberger also provides flexible delivery solutions for the supply of private households. For example, Q Home has been developed to guarantee a real added value for private consignees of bulky goods such as white and brown goods. After the personal appointment is made, two especially trained employees of Quehenberger Express take over the goods for delivery free at place of use. Upon request, they also care for connecting or mounting the device, commissioning as well as disposal of the old equipment.

A wide range of services for express- and direct delivery, such as the supply of urgent consignments on a worldwide basis, guaranteed next-day-delivery, and our 24/7 available Customer Service, complete the service portfolio.

Quehenberger Logistics is a holistically oriented logistics service provider for trade and industry with a focus on Central – and Eastern Europe. The owner-operated, medium-sized company based in Straßwalchen near Salzburg employs 2,700 persons at 85 locations in 17 countries. The company’s quality-oriented corporate strategy focuses on digitisation and automation.
