Raben Germany takes over Weisshaupt forwarding
On condition of the approval of antitrust authorities Raben is to acquire the Weisshaupt forwarding company headquartered in Albstadt (Baden-Württemberg)
With the acquisition of Weisshaupt forwarding we offer our customers an important geographical and economic area in Germany. In addition the company ideally complements our competencies by its regional expertise, qualified staff and logistics services. Due to all these factors, in particular through the geographical location – on the Swabian Alb – we will be capable of supporting the growth of our customers better and more efficient,” says Ewald Raben, CEO of the Raben Group.
Currently more than 130 employees work at the Albstadt site, generating annual turnover of around EUR 13 million. Its core business includes the distribution of collective goods in Germany and Europe, distribution and procurement logistics, as well as warehouse, logistics and customs services. The company will continue to operate under the name Spedition Weisshaupt GmbH & Co.KG.
