Raben Group opens new logistics facility in Upper Silesia (Poland)
Total investment: EUR 8.75 million; Raben Group opens new logistics facility of in Sosnowitz for transborder projects in CEE region
On 12 April 2013 Raben inaugurated their new logistics facility in Sosnowitz. The new Raben Polska location provides national and international road transport services – groupage and full truck loads. The site encompasses a three-floored office building with a total area of 1,557 m², about 5,935 m² transhipment and logistics area equipped with 54 platforms as well as more than 24,000 m² manoeuvring and parking space. The investment totals EUR 8.75 million.
“Raben Group operates in 10 European countries. Thanks to their geographic situation the locations in Sileasia are ideal for transborder projects in the CEE region. Thus the new logistics centre is an important element of our network. Moreover, Upper Silesia has a strong economic area with well-developed infrastructure“, says Ewald Raben, CEO Raben Group.
“Despite we calculated a buffer for future developments, we are quite confident it will be utilised by almost 100 per cent. If there is further demand, we are prepared and will be able to create more capacity. The construction of three more high-bay warehouses on a total surface of 44,500 m² is approved. Thus we could create another 300 new jobs“, states Janusz Anioł, General Director Raben Polska.
