Raben starts a new investment in Dunaharaszti near Budapest

In spite of the economic slowdown of the recent years and its quite serious consequences on the global economy and the volumes of transportation, Raben Group was able to continue its growth thanks to continuous business development and acquisitions, also on the territory of Hungary (Wincanton, Masped Expressz).

In the second quarter of 2012, Raben Hungary will be able to make use of the 2.2 million Euro investment when the modern cross-dock warehouse is completed in Dunaharaszti, adding to the 27.000 m2 of high storage warehouse, which the company uses right now.

The increasing number of shipments and maintaining the quality of service on the highest level requires continuous improvements from Raben, in the processes, equipment and facilities.

"The new cross-dock will have over 4.000 m2 and 42 docks. It will improve our processes, which of course means better services for our Customers. Our transport operations will be even faster and more accurate." – said Szabolcs Czifrik, the Managing Director of Raben Logistics Hungary.

In the logistics process, the function of cross-dock warehouses is very important. They primarily serve as the central platform, where 90% of shipments are handled. The new building will also optimize the process of transport.

"We will have more space for temporary storing of shipments, which will make our handling more precise.” – said Szabolcs Czifrik.

The safety of the goods has an important priority for Raben Group and the new, modern CCTV system will be a valuable addition to safety procedures. It is also worth mentioning that the new cross-dock will have an effective fire protection system.

"We are sure that our customers will receive even higher quality of services after finalizing this investment. So far, this is our first investment but I think we may expect more in the future.” – said Szabolcs Czifrik.
