Rail Cargo Group: roll-out of new block train service to Italy
New hinterland service Ulm-Trieste based on cooperation of the Rail Cargo Group and T.O. Delta S.p.A in Trieste
With the objective of ideally connecting Europe’s seaports and their respective hinterland on the railway, the Rail Cargo Group the terminal and port operator T.O. Delta (Trieste) enhance their partnership. The new service on the Ulm-Trieste route and return was now added to the schedule, increasing attractiveness of logistics services at the location of Trieste.
Initially the new block train offers a weekly rotation between Trieste Marine Terminal and Terminal Ulm Dornstadt, taking hours. The frequency is to be increased in the coming weeks. “The new rail product ensures fast transport services for export cargo on the relation between the Far East and the Mediterranean“, Rail Cargo Group announces in a press release.
During their partnership of more than two years, Rail Cargo Group and T.O. Delta established rail connections for cargo transport between Germany, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. More relations are to follow.
