RCA develops logistic network for MÁV Cargo

 
Rail Cargo Austria supports their new affiliate MÁV Cargo in contract logistics

MÁV Cargo is about to be upgraded to a contract logistics specialist In Hungary. On December 2nd, KR Friedrich Macher, Spokesman of the Management Board of the new owner Rail Cargo Austria AG (RCA), announced to journalists in Budapest that the establishment of an extensive network for general cargo distribution in Hungary is on the schedule. On this purpose the enterprise plans to acquire one or two small forwarding companies, as the manager disclosed to the Österreichische Verkehrszeitung (Austrian Transport Magazine). According to his statements also the SOC-holding logMASter shall be integrated into the network. After the area-covering transports are successfully established, Mr. Macher considers building modern facilities for warehouse logistics.

RCA took over MÁV Cargo for a purchase price of HUF 102.5 billion, or EUR 400 million. Within the next five years the new owner will invest around HUF 44 billion into the improvement and modernisation of the operative division. About one fifth of this amount was granted in the form of a loan only recently.
