Triumph International transfers UK warehouse activities to Menlo Worldwide; Norbert Dentressangle provides seasonal solutions for Argos. Triumph International UK has agreed to transfer its Swindon warehouse activities to Menlo Worldwide Logistics as part of the lingerie company’s initiative to restructure and improve the competitiveness of its overall UK business. Effective July 1st, Menlo will take over warehouse operations at Triumph’s purpose-built site, where Triumph’s 118 employees will retain their jobs. Menlo intends to operate the currently dedicated warehouse as a multi-user facility in the future. Norbert Dentressangle has provided solutions to meet two very different seasonal storage challenges for leading multi-channel retailer Argos. Norbert Dentressangle is providing specialist storage for around 180 pallets of bottled propane and butane gas in support of the 2010 camping season. In line with COMAH Regulations, product is stored in fireproof chambers with specialist lighting, ventilation, sensors and alarm system. The operation is manned by specially trained operatives and employs explosion proof trucks that also monitor the air and automatically shut down if flammable gas is detected. The operation follows Norbert Dentressangle’s successful handling of the external storage operation in support of the 2009 Christmas peak, providing around 11,000 additional pallet spaces to accommodate the overflow of products from Argos’s RDCs.
