Muntons awards five-year contract to DHL; WFS wins new handling contracts in Barcelona and Amsterdam.
 

DHL Supply Chain has been awarded a new contract with Muntons, the Stowmarket, UK-based maltster and malted ingredients manufacturer, to provide global shipping and freight negotiation services.

The contract, valued at £15 million over a five-year period, will support the global movement of more than 70,000 tonnes of malt and related ingredients.

Muntons‘ products are shipped to more than 54 countries around the world, and are used primarily in the international food & beverage sector. Muntons‘ recently opened offices in Singapore and Seattle to support its continued development.

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has been awarded new terminal handling and cargo handling contracts by Concorde Aviation and Surinam Airways:

  • In Spain, WFS has been awarded a three-year contract to provide terminal handling for two airlines represented by Concorde Aviation in Barcelona: City Airline operates an MD-87 aircraft from Barcelona to Gothenburg, Cimber Sterling from Barcelona to Copenhagen using Boeing 737-700s.
  • In The Netherlands, WFS has signed a two-year contract agreement with Surinam Airways for cargo handling at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Surinam Airways flies five times a week to Amsterdam with an Airbus 330 passenger flight and is expected to generate up to 3,500 tons of cargo a year of inbound and outbound freight.
