JKH Drainage awards new contract to Norbert Dentressangle; BPI appoints TDG to provide a new warehousing and distribution solution; Cameron renews Kuehne + Nagel’s global logistics contract; Feldhues awards new contract to Culina Logistics Ireland; Yusen Logistics Benelux operates DiversiTech’s European Distribution Centre.

Norbert Dentressangle has secured a new contract with JKH Drainage, a manufacturer of steel reinforced pre-cast concrete products. The transport solution involves collections being made from JKH’s prime industrial warehouse in Mildenhall, Suffolk. Orders are processed and consolidated, then trunked overnight to Norbert Dentressangle’s regional depots for final delivery. Norbert Dentressangle – through its wholly-owned subsidiary, TDG – is providing a new warehousing and distribution solution for UK polythene manufacturer, British Polythene Industries (BPI). Norbert Dentressangle will be responsible for the provision of a national warehousing and distribution operation to serve BPI’s three recycled products operations at Rhymney in South Wales, Stroud in Gloucestershire and Heanor in Derbyshire.
BPI manufactures more than 275,000 tonnes of polythene film, bags and sacks per year in Europe, and is one of the largest polythene recyclers in Europe, with the ability to reprocess more than 64,000 tonnes each year. The new operation involves the collection of around 60,000 tonnes of waste product for reprocessing, the movement of product from the manufacturing plants to the NDC and the delivery of more than 100,000 pallets of finished product to customers, per year.

Cameron has renewed its logistics contract with Kuehne + Nagel for another two years. The contract covers Cameron’s global business: the handling of the company’s air logistics, sea logistics as well as road and rail services. Kuehne + Nagel has been one of Cameron’s preferred logistics suppliers for the last fifteen years, providing Cameron with a strong global Oil & Gas logistics footprint with skilled operational and customer support centres in North and South America, Asia and Europe, ensuring its materials continue to flow to meet its demanding supply chain schedules. Processed meat producer, Feldhues, has appointed Culina Logistics Ireland to manage the distribution of its products to grocery retailers throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland. The contract extends and mirrors the operation in the UK, where Culina Logistics has been distributing Feldhues‘ products for almost twenty years. The contract includes all storage, order picking and distribution of the Feldhues range. Culina Logistics Ireland will utilise its shared-user approach to provide an efficient and cost effective supply chain solution that will ensure Feldhues products are delivered to customers in the shortest possible times to maximise shelf-life. Culina Logistics Ireland will manage the operation from its new 16,000 m² chilled, ambient and temperature-controlled facility in Rathcoole, County Dublin. Following a successful move and implementation period, Yusen Logistics Benelux is now operating DiversiTech’s European Distribution Centre.  Through its multi-customer warehouse in Antwerp, Yusen Logistics delivers component parts for air conditioning units to wholesalers throughout Europe. Yusen Logistics handles both palletised and loose cargo, and performs inbound quality checks and outbound stock nationalisation. DiversiTech is Yusen Logistics Benelux’s first new customer since the merger of the former NYK Logistics and Yusen Air & Sea Service.
