Record figures with Luka Koper in 2013
Luka Koper handled 600,000 TEUs in 2013 and reached a new record in annual cargo throughput
At the very end of 2013 Luka Koper handled the 600,000th TEU at the Container Terminal and thereby reached an important milestone in the port’s development. The total annual cargo throughput will probably amount to 18 million tonnes which is also a record.
To optimize the terminal’s operations, Luka Koper continues with the investments. The additional storage capacity behind the berth 7C will provide 6,840 m² of extra storage for 672 TEUs. At the same time the seabed of Basin I will be deepened to initially -14 m and by the end of 2014 to -15 m.
