„Remarkable development“ of pharmaceutical logistics with Wildenhofer
Pharmaceutical logistics department of Wildenhofer group wants to boost export traffic from Austria
By consequently expanding its range of services the pharmaceutical logistics division of the Salzburg-based forwarding company Wildenhofer Transport & Logistik creates the basis to deepen their cooperation with producers of pharmaceutical and generic medical products as well as with companies rooted in the pharmaceutical wholesale industry. Managing Director Andreas Mayer-Wildenhofer announces steps to stimulate export shipments from Austria. „Our focus lies in full loads transport“, he explains to the Österreichische Verkehrszeitung (Austrian Transport Magazine). International, temperature-controlled procurement logistics for pharmaceutical products from all over Europe to Germany and Austria forms the core business of the pharmaceutical logistics division of Wildenhofer. The basis for these transportations is a fleet of about 50 vehicles, equipped with „T-Control“ (temperature control) and acustic alert systems. These vehicles are deployed for part and full load traffic, transfers and for distribution of two pallets per delivery address at minimum. In Salzburg a 2,000 sq. m. warehouse is available for storage of pharmaceutical products. Andreas Mayer-Wildenhofer confirms the remarkable development of the parmaceutcial logistics division. Wildenhofer Transport & Logistik has 250 employees at 10 locations in Austria and Spain and acts as a full range provider of forwarding services. The annual turnover at the amount of EUR 96 million is accounted for by around 30 per cent each by national and international general cargo traffic, international truck traffic (FTL/LTL) and the warehousing/logistics division.
