Restructuring and further boost in quality with Iveco Austria

Iveco branches in Austria, Germany and Switzerland operating from now on in a country-cooperation headed by John Venstra:

In the frame of a reorganisation of the divisions of the Iveco group the activities of the branches in Austria, Germany and Switzerland were joined. John Venstra, CEO Sales and Marketing of Iveco Magirus AG, assumes the management of this organisation. He will be supported by the Swiss manager Franz Häfliger and the Austrian managers Karl Martin Studener and Martin Stranzl, who were confirmed in this position for Iveco Austria Ges.m.b.H.. Gianalberto Lupi, previous director of region Central Europe & Far East, which covered also Austria, will concentrate on the region Central Europe, which will be expanded to the markets in Poland and Ukraine.

The Dutch John Venstra (44) has more than 17 years of sales experience with Iveco. He started as a salesman and was later on in charge of retailers service, and subsequently took over the management of the „Business Unit Light“ and finally advanced to the Sales Director in the Benelux countries. Before taking over the function of the CEO of Iveco Magirus AG in April 2010, Venstra was working as international Market Development Director for northern Europe in the company headquarters in Turin for almost two years. In addition to sales and marketing agendas Venstra considers service as very important.

Iveco Austria Ges.m.b.H. is an importer of Iveco utilisation vehicles of all classes of weights in Austria. Five own locations (Vienna 23, Wöllersdorf/Lower Austria, Marchtrenk/Upper Austria, Linz and Eugendorf/Salzburg), 12 contract retailers and 43 contract repair shops care for the area-wide support of customers in vehicle sale, in the service segment and spare parts supply. Iveco has 153 employees in Austria and educates 48 apprentices in its own repair shops and in commercial professions. The new country cooperation provides the enterprise supportive internal structures, which will boost quality of the sales and service organisations.
