Retrack train shuttle operates according to plan between Cologne and Györ

Transpetrol, LTE and CTE put blocktrain with regular departures on the track

The European research project Retrack, dealing with the development of advanced solutions in the field of rail logistics, is about to start a new project. Last week a train service with weekly departures was launched on the route between Cologne and Györ (Hungary). The regular service is operated by the Transpetrol group, established in the rail logistics sector. The handling of the continuous traction, based on a multi-system locomotive, lies in the hands of the private railway companies LTE Logistik & Transport and Central European Transport.

The new rail service from Cologne to Györ is adjusted to forwarding automotive parts, agribulk (cereals) and chemicals. The train starts its journey to Györ every Wednesday afternoon in Cologne. It takes 21 hours. In the opposite direction the service departs from Hungary back to Cologne every Friday.
