Large cargo haulier Stadler is up to its neck in water
Claims for taxes of several million euros force two companies of the Stadler group into insolvency
There are nothing but shattered remains of parts of the Stadler group, acting under the slogan “transport is our passion“. In their letters to business partners, the company management announced the insolvency of the two companies Stadler Güterverkehrs GmbH and Stadler Spedition GmbH. The reasons therefore are tax claims at the amount of EUR 48.7 million, the OOÖN paper (Oberösterreichische Nachrichten) state in a report.
The regional court Landesgericht Wels has received applications for insolvency, though they do not meet the formal requirements. Operative transport business has been transferred to two new companies in the course of this year. The currently active companies were not affected by the insolvency. They will continue to operate without any restrictions, as the company management emphasises in their letter to the customers.
