Rhenus Opens Two New Locations in Italy

Bozen und Verona new locations for Rhenus

Rhenus Logistics S.p.A., a one hundred percent subsidiary of the Rhenus Group, officially opened two new locations in Italy in May. The base at Bolzano has been managing traffic to Austria and Germany, especially via Munich, since March and the Verona location is mainly responsible for traffic from Italy to Russia and Eastern Europe.

Rhenus Logistics S.p.A. had nine business locations in Italy until recently: at Bari, Brescia, Como, Florence, Milan, Modena, Naples, Padua and Turin, which together have storage space amounting to 54,000 m2. The services focus on three major areas: international consignments, domestic traffic and logistics.

Rhenus in Italy provides the complete range of services for international consignments: from groupage freight and complete loads to warehousing and rail transport and even overseas traffic. The logistics area includes warehousing, value added services, e-services and providing individual advice. As far as domestic operations are concerned, the company provides purchasing, packaging and distribution services. A daily feeder service links the Italian locations with the central hub in Milan and goods reach this facility in less than 24 hours. Rhenus guarantees a delivery period of 48 hours for other regions where it does not have a business location and 72 hours for Calabria, Basilicata and the islands.
