Road opens for 500,000 sq ft logistics facility

A new £7 million road has opened the way for development of a 500,000 sq ft logistics facility at Temple Green in Leeds. The new space is part of the first phase of a 165-acre development at the site.

The newly opened road will give direct access to the facility, which is the largest development planned for the scheme.

After all four phases are completed, there will be 1.4million sq ft of logistics and manufacturing space available at the site.

James Pitt, development director of Evans Property Group, said: “The infrastructure programme, which has been made possible from a combination of EZ Capital Grant Fund from the DCLG and Growing Places Fund loan from the LEP, opens up access to four phases of development equating to some 1.4m sq ft of manufacturing or logistics space, along with hundreds of new jobs. We are delighted to reach this pivotal stage at Temple Green.”
