Austria’s sea cargo market has lost a longstanding companion. Robert Lux deceased on 13 March 2011 after serious illness, which he has borne patiently, with consolation of the church, at the age of 72 years. The editorial staff of the Austrian transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung express their condolence to the bereaved. Robert Lux has had the profoundest knowledge of the Austrian sea cargo market. As head of the Bremen Port office in Vienna (today bremenports) he had good and very professional contacts to the shipping companies, the forwarding branch and the shipping industry.
