Samskip Multimodal to start LCL/groupage services on Norway

New service concept of Samskip Mulitmodal connects Europe and Norway with two weekly departures via Rotterdam

Samskip Multimodal is starting part load services (LCL/ groupage) on Norway as an alternative to traditional road haulage part load services. With two guaranteed weekly departures, on Tuesdays and Fridays, the service is available between Rotterdam, the Netherlands and the Oslofjord, Norway. From Norway they offer delivery throughout Europe based on their pan-European network.

“We are able to deliver within one day in the Oslo area and within 48 hours in the Trondheim area after arrival of the vessel. Door-door Samskip Multimodal is able to deliver cargo within five days for Oslo, within six days for the Trondheim area and 7 days for the northern area. Our unique and extensive network enables collection or delivery of cargo within the whole of Europe by trailer, third party or shippers owned equipment, or by sourcing Samskip 45ft HCPW containers,” the company announces.

Samskip operates one of Europe’s largest multimodal container logistics systems. It is able to move containers door-to-door between over 30 countries from Russia, Scandinavia, Poland, the Baltic States, Finland and Iceland in the north to Spain, Portugal, Italy, Austria, Greece, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia in the south and centre of Europe.

They have at their disposal over 13,000 containers, ranging from 20ft to 45ft pallet-wide high cube containers including reefers, curtain-siders and flat-racks.
