Agility Logistics wins contract from Auchan Group
Auchan Group awards major intercontinental project to Agility Logistics Agility Logistics reports the winning of a new major contract. Auchan Group has awarded the globally acting logistics service provider with the control and management of its logistics chains for textile products from Bangladesh to France. The service portfolio includes sea freight forwarding and land transportations as well as consolidation of products from 40 textile producers in Bangladesh. A logistics terminal in Lille serves as a hub for distribution in France. Auchan is – following Inditex (Zara) and Kraft – another large group that Agility supports in import logistics from Asia to Europe. The French retail chain that is specialising in the operation of hypermarkets has 210,000 employees around the globe, who generated a turnover of around EUR 39.5 million in the financial year 2008. |
