Saudi Cargo launches daily B747 freighters to Lagos

In response to the high demand for air cargo from Asia to West Africa, Saudi Airlines Cargo has increased its capacity from three weekly flights to daily B747 freighter flights to Lagos, Nigeria.

Lagos flights operate from Riyadh Hub and connect with the carrier’s weekly 25 freighter flights from Far East and Europe into Riyadh Hub.

According to Shihab Al-Amoudi, head of Global Communications & Advertising and spokesperson for Saudi Airlines Cargo, the carrier increased its frequency immediately after receiving the additional traffic rights for Lagos.

Saudi Airlines‘ freighter network now covers Johannesburg, Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Khartoum, Ndjamena, and Lagos, with plans to expand the network to more destinations in Africa.

Saudi Airlines Cargo operates twelve freighters and uses the belly-capacity on 125 passenger aircraft for Saudi Arabian Airlines spanning a rapidly expanding global network of 225 destinations.
