Schachinger Logistik establishing city hub for prime services in Linz
Under the name X-Commerce, Schachinger Logistik Linz now offers fast premium fulfillment and prime services. From the “1stCity Hub” in the Upper Austrian capital, customers of the fulfillment center can offer their business partners delivery within a very short period of time. So for example, if an automotive workshop urgently needs a certain spare part, this can be delivered quickly via the 1st city hub.
Online customers, whose work place is located near the city hub, can pick up their parcel by themselves at a designated parcel pick-up store, which is open from 8 to 20. Also returns are handled there quickly and in an unbureaucratic way. Parcels arriving there before 20 a.m., will be delivered by Schachinger X-Commerce to Austria the next day, and to Germany within 48 hours.
In addition, all services of a modern fulfillment center are available, including transport control, quality control, stock and inventory management, co-packing and packaging. All digital services are integrated: online access to inventory levels (Active Stock Reporting), shipment life cycle, scheduled delivery time and options for redirecting the shipments. Reporting with regard to complaints, damages and the overall quality completes the X-Commerce service.
At its site in Linz, Schachinger offers 30,000 m² logistics warehouse space, 1,200 pallet spaces, a high-bay warehouse and 500 m² of office space. The variety of value-added services for parcel shipping are supplemented by a series of express options and additional services. These include:
