Schneckenreither: first time annual turnover beats EUR 100 million

New building of the Schneckenreither forwarding company at their headquarters in Ansfelden forms the basis to expand logistics operations
 
The Schneckenreither forwarding company added a modern logistics facility to its headquarters in Ansfelden near Linz. With an investment of about EUR 2.25 million they constructed a building that includes 1,831 m² hall, an underground parking area for 68 cars and 975 m² office area on the upper floor. “With this new building we covered the last free area on our company premises. We are using the facility exclusively for logistics operations“, says Alfred Schneckenreither, Managing Director, when talking to the Austrian transport magazine Österreichische Verkehrszeitung.
 
The Schneckenreither forwarding company is a medium-sized provider of transport and logistics services, focussing on land transport (national/international) and warehousing logistics. Established in 1970 the company operates 13 locations in Austria and three abroad, with more than 60,000 m² covered warehouse area in total. The Schneckenreither corporate group comprises several forwarding and transport companies with about 400 employees and their own fleet of 158 trucks and about 100 swap bodies. In 2011 the group’s turnover surpassed the amount of EUR 100 million for the first time.
