SkyLink buys Cargojet with a $3.2m I.O.U.

SkyLink Express has expanded its regional air cargo operations with the acquisition of the remaining 55% interest in the CargoJet Regional Partnership.

The Canada-based domestic premium overnight air cargo network operator sold its interest in the Cargojet Regional Partnership to SkyLink Express for a $3.2 million promissory note secured by aircraft owned by SkyLink Express.

Toronto, Canada-based SkyLink will operate the regional business under its own trade name, Skylink Express.

According to SkyLink’s president Dan Rocheleau, the deal wil make SkyLink Express the largest regional air cargo operator in Canada, and the carrier will now operate 21 aircraft daily to locations throughout Canada and the US.
